The Wheel of Time
One of the fundamental works of fantasy book series is surely a series The Wheel of Time by Robert Jordan. I have long avoided it because I just did not want to waist so much paper. Yes books do mean a lot to me, but I still prefer not to spent so much paper on them. Since there is not a complete series in any of my libraries and I did not want to have the whole series of 10+ books on my shelf just to read them once I have waited to get myself a e-book reader. I do have one for quite some time now (you can read more about my kindle on my old blog), there were no more excuses not to start reading these great fantasy book series.

“The Wheel weaves like The Wheel wills.”
This surely is one of my favorite quotes so far. I’ve started reading the series not long ago and I can proudly say that I have already finished book #0 (New Spring), book #1 (The Eye of The World) and I’m half through book #2 (The Great Hunt). So far I must say I enjoy it so much that I can’t hardly wait to get up every morning thinking how I’ll read some more on the bus to work.
So far the plot is not as complex in character entanglement as G. R. R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire, but it pays of with much granter action and battles as well as more races and use of magic (a.k.a. chanelling). That’s what I’m still waiting for from Martin.
It was really hard for me to start writing this post, since I know I could have been reading at the moment, so I’ll end it here for now and hopefully come bac soon enough.
I dare you to join me on my quest on getting through the series.
